About Us
TriStar Asset Group (TAG) is an opportunistic capital provider evaluating investments in exceptional companies across their full business life cycle, from start-ups to mature operating companies.
We have a strong network for sourcing and evaluating unique investment opportunities. TAG adds value to each investment we make, whether as a majority owner-operator or a minority investor. Our goal is to be an efficient capital partner, not merely a capital provider. We are flexible in our focus on asset sectors, types of private investments, structure, and duration. TAG aims to create value for our investors which is uncorrelated to traditional public market asset classes.
TAG traces its roots back to the early 1980s when its principals began raising private capital for various wireless telecommunication ventures which the principals managed and operated. In addition to raising external capital, TAG principals invested their own personal capital in their projects as well as projects of other entrepreneurs. Early on, our team understood and embraced the core tenet of treating investors’ capital with the upmost respect, integrity, and priority. These remain core tenets of TAG today.
Our principals have strong experience in sourcing, operating, and investing capital over the past 40 years. TAG predecessors have thrived by investing in opportunities that require a unique perspective and a specialized understanding of the industry from both a regulatory and business application perspective. These investments usually have high barriers to entry, a high level of expertise and relationships, and thus the potential for value creation.
